Why don't people take time to give thumbs up?

whenever i go back to see my answer i feel really good if i get any thumbs up and i think other people feel the same way too right?

I feel the same way, or if I get a 'star' or a 'best answer' sometimes a little kudos makes your whole day better! =)

It could be that people are in a hurry so they may just answer the question with their opinion but not read the other answers.

Sometimes I find it hard to decide if it's a thumbs up or down because I agree with parts of the answer but not all.

I love getting thumbs up!
And giving them as well,
but sometimes,
if an answer is REALLY bad,
I'll be like
'take that!'
and give it a thumbs down.
but then I realize that I'm probably just about the only person that goes back to check their thumbs ups/downs.

I give answers I like a thumbs-up. I think it makes me feel good to know that I'm making someones day.

I love giving thumbs-up....I always try to remember to give a thumbs-up to everyone who answers my questions....unless the answer is abusive or off-topic. I very often give thumbs-up to my contacts when I see them...or to any answer I find particularly good or funny. I love giving stars for questions, too.

I do feel good when I get thumbs up! I think people are too busy paying attention to answers that anger them or they don't agree with.

I give a thumbs up if the answer is well thought out, or at least makes me laugh, even if it disagrees with my thoughts on the question.

I feel like I deserve a thumbs up here and there.

I only give thumbs up if it's in my question, or if the answer was particularly funny and/or good.
