Why do people buy "destroyed" jeans? What is the point of WASTING 70 dollars on a pair of jeans that look like they have been through hell and back?
I get "just liking the look", but don't they realize it they could buy a pair of jeans for 20 bucks and then "destroy" 'em on their own?

Minkie Bear..you seem tired of seeing this question. If so..why bother to answer it?
I don't really care about it. Yes if people want to be stupid and throw away their money on crappy jeans, that is their business. But if I want to question them doing it..that is MY business :)

This is true but the rich need to waste their money on something and the rest are just idiots .

I think most people don't want to take the time to 'destroy' their own pair of jeans. Its easier to just buy them that way but I agree with you..its a waste of money.

Have you ever seen the rigorous process they put them through? There's no way we could get them to look like they do. It's more than I ever dreamed until I seen it with my own eyes, and now I realize why they charge so much for them.
Heck if you can't afford them you just simply can't buy them. I just like the look and I've seen the ones people do their self and they look that way too.I like the way they feel. Personally I'm way over labels. I could care less what the label has on it. I thought everyone had a special pair or more of jeans they like more than any others and if they happen to be expensive and torn up and you can afford them-why not? I Please myself and no one else.

There's nothing more satisfying than having an old pair of jeans that has been "destroyed" naturally, gradually over time. Those spots are like badges of honor. Those tears are scars of victory. Those wily strands are the banners of joy. Sorry, I didn't answer your question, but you already know the answer anyway-- "people will buy anything these days!"

Id rather just wear an old pair of jeans anyway. But I guess that it's because most people are to impatient to wait to get that look. So they're willing to pay a lot more money to get that look right now.

then it wouldn't be "In" and they wouldn't shell out 100 dollars a pair. On Queer eye for the straight guy they showed how to get the look from a regular pair of jeans. i always wanted to know that too good question.

Those are probably the same people that buy shirts with labels on them. They don't do it for the fashion they do it to show that they have money. That's what fashion is about in many ways, although not completely. I love fashion and think of it as a way to express myself, although I cannot afford expensive clothes. However, stores are selling clothes that are meant to look like peasant clothes for really expensive prices and ppl pay for the look just to show they could afford it.

Even $20 is a lot to spend for destroyed jeans. I'll spend $10, and then I'll wear them and eat at Taco Bell, and then I'll really destroy them.

I dont understand it either. They can charge 70 bucks for damaged jeans. I like them, but not the price. It doesnt make sense to me.
Ive done that....bought cheaper ones and destroyed them myself.*
