i'm thinking of leaving the rat race and becoming a hermit, wheres the best place for hermits to live?

If this is what you feel you want and that it would make you happier than you can try it. It doesn't have to be forever but you can gain lots of experience in life through doing something that not many people do. You can reflect on many things and get a better understanding what life is about and what it means. As Thoreau put it, "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived" He wrote a great book that I am still to read. Its called Walden and he explains how he lived without any kind of support at Walden pond for 2 years. maybe you already know it. How to go about it is tough to say, I am not very knowledgeable about this but I too sometimes think about doing something like this and I what I can think of is if you have a place like a cabin or something you can stay or buy a cheap one in the woods at and stay there and since you are already experienced with hunting and stuff than you just do that from there. Sorry if im not much help. everyone has their own ways of figuring things out. I think you know best how to approach it. No one can really tell you the "one best way" of doing something compicated like this. anyway Good luck
