Alan Keyes...

Huckabee.

He seems geniunely honest, and he has been VERY open about his stance on all of the issues.

He is pro-life and wants to overturn Roe v. Wade.
He is against homosexual marriage, and upholds the belief that marriage is between a man and a woman.
He believes that we must win the Iraq war, and leave with honor as soon as possible. IMHO, whatever your position is on the beginnings of the war, it is clear that it is not possible to just hop out of it without serious consequences (such as more slaughter of free Iraqis, now left in turmoil, and a rise in terror, etc., not to mention losing any semblance of a good name)
He believes that health care is a major issue, and should be dealt with not only by reform, but also by educating the public and acting preventively (he speaks from experience).
He wants to lower taxes, not raise them, and completely reform our tax system to create a Fair Tax (btw, he successfully lowered taxes in Arkansas, despite what some liberal attacks have claimed - they have been refuted MANY times)
He wants to bring our education system back to the basics, and to mandate music education and the arts in school curriculum, as they promote critical thinking skills.
His stance on illegal immigration is not as tough as it could be, but reasonable: secure our borders before ANYthing else, then deal with the illegals inside our country. He doesn't offer them amnesty (thank goodness) but believes they should be fined and offered citizenship, which they must then work for. I figure that's better dealt with through congress anyway...
I think Huckabee is really the best candidate for this election, and has a chance at the Republican nomitation as long as people educate themselves and vote in the primaries.

Ron Paul, he is anti-war, wants to lower taxes for the middle class and poor, voted no against the Patriot Act, voted no against the amendment banning gay marriages. He believes the United States should have a non-interventionist foreign policy where we trade and negotiate with other countries instead of fighting useless wars where so many innocent people die. He wants to drastically reduce the debt the United States is in and restore our country to the democracy it once was. Finally we have a voice for the people. One that isn't backed by corporations and lobbyists. but by the people.. Ron Paul is a man of his word. Just check his track record. He knows where he stands on the issues, unlike other candidates whose stances seem to change from week to week. I truly believe he can boost the morale of this country and restore a democracy for the people not just for the elite...

Ron Paul

Ron Paul.

Hope for America!

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

Edwards, honestly. In my opinion he's the Dem with the best shot at the general; Clinton and Obama are too vulnerable.
None of the candidates on the right are that appealing except for Mike Huckabee, but he'll be pressured to toe the party line on some things I find distasteful. Ron Paul is actually awesome except for where he's for eliminating limits on campaign contributions, against net neutrality, and for abolishing a good quarter of the entire federal government. Except for those minor details (*sarcasm*), he's golden.

i'm republican, so out of all the info i have gathered, i have decided that i like mitt romney the best. he has a great track record, great moral standards, and has earned his own way. He has a great stance on the war, illegal immigration and taxes- which are my biggest issues. over all i think he will be a great service to this country when it despratley needs a change. if it's guliani or ron paul i will not vote- or i will vote independent. i will not give a vote to democrate if it where hilary- she will do this country in!! obama, i think he will be great in a few years when he has some experience under his belt, but not yet. i need more information about edwards, but am open to him if proves to be better than the republican nomination- but if it's romney- he's my #1 all the way!!

I would love to see John Ellis "Jeb" Bush run for President of the United States of America, get the nomination, and win the Presidency and become the 44th President of the United States of America, that way Americans who do not approve of George W. Bush can deal with another four years of another President Bush so that they can see what it is like to live in a country where you have to live with the same leader or relative of that leader for life.

However, I do not see Jeb Bush running for President; therefore, I would like to see Mitt Romney win the Presidency.
