Sure. Understanding human behavior holds great power in that you can use it to modify your own behavior in order to fit into any situation. Understanding people or groups of people and why they do what they do can also be beneficial when it comes to dealing with your own emotions and how you interact with individuals.

The more you know based on facts the better you can understand that which is going on around you. Even if those ideas are not 100% inclusive at least you can form a hypothesis and are thinking abstractly.
