Ok I've done this EXACT thing with one of my rangers so I know exactly what to do.
1. In Lion's Arch there are a series of docks, on the end of one of the docks closest to the skill shop you will find someone who will give you a "Help the Sunspears" quest. (Or something like that.) That will direct you to the guard near the storage boxes, who will send you to out of town to someone who will send you on the quest.
I would really recommend being high level or having someone with Nightfall help you out. You can only take 6 characters and the henchmen in Lion's Arch are kind of pathetic compared to the enemies on this short quest.
2. You end up in the Consulate Docks, right outside the starting town of Nightfall. The Consulate Docks is a mission that transports characters to the second continent of Nightfall, about three normal quests away from secondary class changes.
You will have to do a small number of quest before being allowed to transport to the second continent, but those quests give you heroes, so it is well worth it.
You will be locked out of most of the low in quests of early Nightfall, but CAN complete all the instanced missions. (I recommend backtracking to the first since it is an EASY 3,000 exp and 3 skill points!)
Please note that the Consulate Docks also has an armor vendor who sells the max non-prestige armor for each character class. That armor is in Nightfall's style, but it is max armor.
3. Anything put into storage on an account is available to any other character on that account, regardless of where they are or which campaign they are in. I frequently trade between characters on my account through storage and use the materials involved to give new characters on both campaigns a foot up.

Sorry Manny, but you gave some bad info there. Let me try to help.
1. Once your ranger reaches Lion's Arch there will be a quest available there that you can complete to reach the Nightfall continent. There should be a big pop up box when you zone into town that will explain it.
2. You will end up in Kamadan and will be farther along than a beginner Nightfall character. Always when transferring a non-native character to a different campaign that character will join the game "mid-story" so to speak. If you are not familiar with the storyline in Nightfall I'd recommend creating a brand new nightfall character and bringing over your ranger later.
Your ranger can change professions at 4 different places once he has "ascended". To ascend you need to:
A. complete the desert missions in Prophecies and defeat Doppleganger
B. Complete the Nahpui Quarter mission in Factions.
C. Complete the quest "Hunted" in Nightfall.
After completing one of the above tasks you can change your 2ndary. You can do this by completing various quests in the desert towns in Prophecies (hardest option) or by talking to a profession changer in Senju's Corner (factions), The Great Temple of Balthazar (Battle Isles) or The Command Post (NF)
Whew, your #2 is a big question. Ok, about the attribute quests. You can only complete the attribute quests for the campaign that your character is native. For your ranger, this means that you need to complete the ascension missions in the desert. The attribute quests are available after that. I don't remember the exact names of them. One is Hero's Challenge I think. The other is available from one of the snake guys in the desert.
3. Yep (hey, an easy one!)

I transferred my ranger to Nightfall when I first bought it.
1: You go to Lion's Arch. You speak to Lionguard Figo at the Docks. He will give you a quest called, "Sunspears in Kryta". This is a relatively high level (but also relatively simple) quest. Generally, if you put it out in open channel, people will respond and help you with that quest. It's pretty fun, and sometimes the drops are great... not often, but sometimes.
2: You end up in Kamadan 3 years after the endgame events in Prophecies.
The 15 point attribute quests can ONLY be completed in the campaign in which your character began.
One of those is called "Forgotten Wisdom", which you obtain (after you've ascended) from Sariss Yassith in Skyward Reach.
The other is called "The Hero's Challenge" which you obtain (after you've ascended) from Vanyi in Droknar's Forge.
3: Xunlai storage is based on the account. If one character on the account puts something in storage, it is accessible by any character on that account that has access to Xunlai storage. Customized items are not usable across an account, but they ARE usable by your heroes for the character for whom they are customized.

okay well basically this is what happened when i went from prophecies to factions:
i went to lions arch and i got on a boat and i sailed out to (loaded) the final city in factions. and from that town you can also sail back to lion's arch. so im guessing it might be the same for night fall you probably just go to the ship at lion's arch and then it will ask you which expansion you want to sail to?
im not certain because i havent actually bought nightfall yet, but im sure it will but something similar to what they did for factions. cant hurt to try it and see.
