cyrenaic is right. It was Claude Provost on November 9, 1957 and Denis Savard on January 12, 1986.
Incidentally, the fastest goal from the start of a game is five seconds, shared between Doug Smail, Alexander Mogilny, and Bryan Trottier.

I thought someone put in a goal in less than a second. He just took a shot on the faceoff and the clock never moved. I can't remember the guys name (I wanna say Howe but I'm pretty sure that's wrong; I think it's someone from the original 6 era).
LITY: Well, I knew I'd get the name wrong but I didn't know I'd be that far off on the time line.

Trombass
How does the name Mario Lemieux sound? He performed that feat in recent years.
Don't worry trombass, if you go back a few days here in the hockey section, somebody actually asked a question about the Lemieux one and in response somebody posted a video of his goal off the face-off :)
