I've had A LOT of unprotected sex (stupid, i know) but I'm unsure if I'm pregnant. I took an EPT about 4 days ago that came up negative, but as of today I think I'm about a week late for my period...and i'm constipated, fatigued, bloated, really gassy, and feel kind of nauseous at times. I know the usual signs of my period coming and these are not it! I would be no more than three weeks pregnant if I was...any suggestions? I dont know if an EPT would pick it up?

You should take a pregnancy test now. If you are about a week late for your period, then now is the time to do it. The EPT would be able to pick up on the hormone that is found in pregnant women. I always recommend getting the test done at a Planned Parenthood center because they will give you the appropriate test, teach you the right way to use it, and go over options once you figure out what's going on. Fatigue and feeling bloated are usual signs of an impending period. Be careful next time around. Planned Parenthood offers many choices for birth control at a low price and it is completely confidential -a pelvic exam is not even necessary. Or at the very least, get him to wear some protection. Yes, an EPT should pick it up if you are in the range the instructions say you should be. Why are you obviously trying to get pregnant? If it is for someone (the baby) to love you, believe me, it will back fire. I got pregnant and had a little girl 5 months after I got married at 17. After years of counseling, I found that I was unhappy in my home life and didn't feel loved, getting pregnant and having a baby would supposedly insure me that someone in my life would love me because, of course, I would be the perfect parent. Believe me, easier said than done. No one is a perfect parent, NO ONE! No child is really happy with their parents. That is the way the world goes. Please, take care of yourself and use protection, not only from a pregnancy but from all kinds of STD's. I feel you think you know what is up, but I want to ask you to re think that. What is it that you want 5 years from now? Work for it because it can come true. My prayers are with you.

It took me about two weeks after missing a period to find out that I was pregnant with my son.
Some women NEVER test positive on a home pregnancy test because there is not enough of the pregnancy hormone hCG in their urine to be detected. Try again in a few days, or go to a doctor for a blood test.
And if you are unprepared for a child, quit having unprotected sex. Do I really have to tell you that?

umm, go get like 2 other tests, that aren't EPT and then if you still feel that way or they come up negative, go to a hospital, they'll be able to tell you for sure, even though it will take longer to know than if you buy one at the store, but it's almost 100% factual, so i would either do that first, or try another pregnancy test and then try the hospital if it comes up negative, you can't be to sure, of course you can just wait to see if you gain a belly :D

go to the doc and see but if you dont want to go there then by the ept that that picks up 5 days before a missed period it works every time

Its very common if a pee prego test like EPT does not detect you being pregnant, you can go to your Doctor & ask for a blood test, that way they can tell (hormone levels) if you are, or an ultra sound! The same thing happened to me!

Get a test from the doctor if you really are not sure, or wait a few more days and take another test. Stop having unprotected sex, a baby isnt the only thing you can get.

A pregnancy test of of most varieties should work after a missed period.
Get a blood test from your doctor.
Pregnancy isn't your only worry from unprotected sex either. Better get an STD screening as well.

i think maybe your just freaking out they now have the e.p.t that can tell you a week before you period would start in any case i wish you the best of luck oh and maybe next time have protected sex this maybe like a sign hello a wakeup call
