Have you tried a craft store? Many of them have ribbon that is good for the season. However, you might have a hard time finding it now because they are getting in their Christmas stuff and clearancing out their fall decor.
Otherwise, you might just have to go with a pretty fall color or something.

I have painted ribbon with the little bottles of puff paint, and it comes out really pretty. Gold metallic on a cream-colored ribbon is especially nice.
