Yep! Done it for years. I am retired from the ranching business, my son is taking care of it. I now live in China. I go home every spring to help with the roundup and calving.
I don't know exactly what you are wanting to know by your question. I will tell you that we run nearly 5-thousand head of cattle. I am very fortunate that I have wonderful neighbors. We run what is called an 'open range.' All our cattle run together during the year and during the springtime we all gather, separate the cattle, count the calves, brand/tag the calves, then select those for market.
When we all get together, we are of the 'old school.' We enjoy doing our work just the same as they did 150-years ago; old wooden chuck wagon, horses not ATV's, camping out...not camping trailers or motorhomes, staying out for days at a time, working the cattle, roping, dogging, branding, and cutting.
Yes, we do have our guns. We are on several tens of thousands of acres between the eight ranchers who live and work together but we don't shoot our guns; only for critters who don't know enough to stay away from a bunch of ranchers who will do anything to protect their cattle.
We all tell stories around the fire and all dream of the beautiful women that we know we will never have, but we each have lies about those lovely ladies we have each known over the years.
ONE cellphone is allowed...for emergencies only! Any injury short of a broken bone or a blood gushing wound is taken care of right there with a splash of iodine and clean cotton cloth.
Broken hearts, broken lives, business worries, family problems, mortgage payments, credit card debt, and the world disorder is left at the house, not brought out here.
Yes, we take care of our horses before we take care of ourselves. We feed and water them, brush them down, talk to them, and from time to time give them a little kiss on the nose to let them know that we understand how difficult it is to carry us all day, take us around the maze of scared cattle, and then bring us back to the warmth and safety of the fireside each night.
At night we lie on the ground looking toward the sky. In the darkness, without the city lights drowning out the beauty of the night sky, the stars number as great as those of the sands of the earth. Sometimes we can acutally see the eyes of God staring back at us, speaking silently "...well done," and it is at that moment we all find comfort in the unshakeable knowledge that there is a God in heaven and He lives right here on earth.
I am sorry that I am unable to adequately answer your question. I wish I knew exactly what you wanted to know....

properly, you may think of after having brushed their teeth daily, two times an afternoon for 8 (or 11) years that they'd decide that they'd desire to brush their teeth. regardless of if, I would desire to remind my babies daily additionally so it is going to be prevalent! we've tried pictures on the washing room reflect, chore charts and extra yet no longer something looks artwork different than my telling them to get in there and brush ALL their teeth.
