Good for you for calling the police on them. You were attempting to be a good neighbor and try to work it out between you and them.

They failed to help their daughter see that she needs to be accountable for the things that she does in life.

If you have a video camera, I would set it up in a window to be able to show if she does any thing else. Since they may get angry and she may do more.

The camera should give you any and all evidence that you may need to prove if she/they do any thing else to you.

Self, I've had problems with a neighbor walking across my lawn past my windows. I asked him to stop doing this since as a woman it made me uncomfortable. He stopped but had every one he knew doing it every time they had a party, they were having parties every weekend.

Finally I got really fed up with what was going on, one day his wife and her sister were walking across my lawn. I came out of my door with my video camera in my hand while taping them and stated, do you realize that you are trespassing and that I can have you arrested and put in jail for what your doing? They quickly left my property via the side walk.

The next thing her husband came screaming up in his truck, I guess his wife got scared that she was going to jail and called her husband.

Ever since I used my camera, every thing has stopped. No more walking on my lawn, no more problems. Their guest now walk on the sidewalk to their house and not on my grass.

All is back to normal and it's been great ever since.

Make sure that you stay with in the law, so that you will be well with in your rights. You can sue them if the problems do not get better.

Fantastic! You did the right thing. Young people are getting away with too much. Their parents don't take responsibility. If they don't want to raise them, they shouldn't have them!

My sister had a similar problem. Her husband was able to set up a surveillance system and they caught the pre-teens in the act. The police were extremely interested in it and the kids couldn't deny it once it was on tape.

You might want to consider doing the same if you think they will continue to be trouble.

I applaud your actions!

In this day and age of non-parents you should have called the police right away. now take pictures of all the damage, get an estimated value of all the stuff damaged and take them to small claims. also record how much time you have spent cleaning up after this kid and you can get reimbursed for your time. And after you take some cash away from that ornery fart send him a plate of cookies with a note asking if it would have been easier if he would have just had his daughter step up and be responsible for her actions!!

Sounds like you have done all you can. The mother sounds like she has some idea of what responsibility is, the father is a dumba** who apparently doesn't want his daughter to grow up responsibly.

Don't expect anything to change with the daughter or the father.

Good for you. Now the parents will have to pay for the property and next time you see the idiot, ask him how he feels about it.
