Well ive had 5 kids and always coloured my hair during the pregnancy....A few pple told me that it could effect th baby....and like you i panicked and went to the doc, he told me that some pple believe it to be true bt there is no evidence and on my second last pregnancy i was in the middle of colouring my hair and my waters broke, it all happend so fast i didnt get a chance to rinse. When my son was born i asked for a shower to rinse it off and again i asked about the risks....She said the same as the doc and advised me that next time if pregnant use a colour with low or no ammonia, so dnt panick, people put a lot more dangerous things in their body while pregnant

No is shouldn't, the reason why dyeing your hair whilst pregnant is not advised is that your body is changing and your skin, hair etc may react differently to the chemical process as opposed to when you are not pregnant. you could also be more 'emotional' and no hairdresser wants a pregnant woman getting upset cause that is not what she wanted! LOL! But having said that I wouldn't suggest you do it again, better safe than sorry!

the baby will be fine. No one has found any known birth defects tied in with hair dye. I'm 7 months pregnant and i've dyed my hair 2 times and tomorrow im getting highlights. As long as you use ammonia-free dye, you'll be fyne, bayb.

No this does not affect the baby. I asked my doctor and he told me that it was just a myth and that it was perfectly okay to dye your hair while being pregnant. Hope this helps. Don't worry.

they tell you to use ammonia free hair dye because you breathe in the chemicals when dying your hair. Chemicals can get into your system but a hair dye is not very powerful. Dont worry as long as your in a ventilated area.

I don't know if this is your "first", but don't get paranoid about the things you do when you are pregnant. If you lay off the cigarettes, the dope and the booze, youv'e solved most of the problems. Hair dye shouldn't be a problem unless you pass out from the fumes.

no worry, no harm was done. You can still color your hair since the dye doesn't enter into your blood. People advice you not to for the fumes you inhale

No, honey. Don't worry about it. I have 4 kids and have colored my hair during all 3 pregnancies (twins for those of you doing the math) and they are all perfectly normal, if not rambunctious boys.

You and your baby will be fine. A lot of women do worse things before they find out that they are pregnant. Dont worry anymore its ok, just dont keep dying your hair.
