Because I am getting an ID from the DMV tomorrow but they first issue you a paper ID and send the real one in the mail and im not sure if i will get it in time for my trip.

The paper ID has your picture and all your infromation as a regular ID but its just in paper form.

Clubs in Montreal aren't going to be all that fussy about IDs. A liquor store might be more likely to ask for ID/not accept your temp license as ID. As long as you are 18 you aren't doing anything wrong by drinking in the PQ, ID or no ID. If one joint doesn't want your business because of your ID then find another one.

You will have to have proper photo ID. No club or liquor store will accept you entering with out it. Sorry. If you own a passport--no problem!

you wont be able to cross the border without photo id, or buy alcohol or cigarettes in canada
