From Tampa, you would have to drive at least 500 miles just to get into some of the mountain forest of Georgia. I recommend a trip to Gatlinburg, TN. Follow I-75 to Atlanta, take the I-285 east loop around to north I-85 then take I-985 to Gainesville I-985 changes to US 23 follow it til you reach US 441 and follow that over the Smokie Mountains to Gatlinburg.
