Well, Curt Schilling resigned. I think its good for the Red Sox to have him around...he has a lot of experience and can help out some of the younger players. Then again, he's not getting any younger. How much he contributes to the Red Sox this upcoming season, we'll have to wait and see. I'm definitely hoping our MVP Mike Lowell resigns. He played phenominally last season and I'm hoping he comes back to do it all again! I think Eric Gagne and Matt Clement may be leaving. While no one can deny that A-Rod is a great player, the Sox don't need him if Mike Lowell stays (which I suspect he will). Eric Gagne didn't have much to contribute to the Sox this year, so I'm predicting he leaves. Of course there's the Coco Crisp & Jacoby Ellsbury situation. I think Ellsbury will be taking over center field. He showed his amazing fielding skills this year and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of them soon! I'm thinking Bobby Kielty & Doug Mirabelli will both be back. Kielty, I think its an OK situation. He seems like the type of player who will want t play every game, though, and I don't see that happening. Mirabelli, he'll probably do well this season and I look forward to finding out.

I predict they WILL re-sign Mike Lowell.
Trade Coco Crisp, Craig Hansen and maybe Jon Lester.
I think they will make a run at either LHPs Erik Bedard or Scott Kazmir.
Gabe Kapler will come back and warm the bench.
Bobby Kielty will be back and so will Doug Mirabelli.
Mike Timlin will return to captain the bullpen.
Bryan Cory will be brought up full time.
Javy Lopez will be set free.
There will also be some misc. prospects changing hands.

With the depth of their farm system and lack of free agent pitching the Sox moves may be minor. Beckett, Dice K, Schill's, Bucholz, Lester and Wake are set. You have Pap's, Timlin, Delcarmen, and oki holding the Pen down (I heard they actually may look to sign another Japanese reliever). The big question revolves around Lowell. One thing that makes me think they will take a run at AROD is Clement's 8 mil come off the books and Mann's 20 mil come off next year.

they will resign lowell, and then sign a-rod, then they will dominate baseball for the next 5 years.
