Online Library Science Degree???

Question

I am looking for a private online University that offers a Library Science Degree that is ALA approved. I am currently getting my degree in paralegal studies and would like to advance.

Weight is in the eye of the personnel director. You can certainly get hired with an all online degree, but I'd count on volunteering at a library for up to six months longer than you'd have to if you'd attended a university in person. You'd need to have some added experience to compete against other qualified graduates. If you happen to already have that experience - say you've worked as a library assistant for three years in high school - then whatever makes you happy.

Please stay away from those 'online' for-profit schools such as university of phoenix and strayer u. Former U of Phoenix students started this site: http://www.uopsucks.com

University of Pittsburgh offers most of the library science courses online, but there are requirements for being on campus about one week a semester.
