It depends if its on land or in water.
Maybe it should be done in space to give both equal disadvantages.

How the heck would Flipper know that Gramps was stuck down a mineshaft ?
The US navy trained dolphins to deliver underwater mines.
I wonder if the Australian Army could train kangaroo to deliver greades in their pouches?
One drawback is that you only get kangeroos in Australia, so you would have to lure your enemy there.

Isn't skippy a kangaroo and flipper a dolphin. Blimey that's a hard one as skippy is land and flipper sea bearing. There would be no winners, sorry. .
