I know how you feel, I'm 17, and I've suffered from PMS, bloating, and severe menstrual cramps for years. But I've finally found some things that help.
1.) Aleve works the best for me as a painkiller
2.) Lying down and crossing my legs helps, and does heating up a hot water bottle or heating pad and lying it on my abdomen.
3.)Watching a movie helps distract you from the pain.
But the best way to get rid of cramps is to prevent them from happening. A major cause of cramps is the body not getting enough calcium and/or magnesium. Find a high quality calcium/magnesium supplement and take it all month. Taking some right now will probably help you with your cramps too. Another huge cause of cramps is Estrogen dominance. The majority of women in America have too much estrogen in their body because of hormones given to animals that they then injest through milk products and meat. The way to fix this is to balance it with progesterone, the complimentary hormone. If you go to a gynecologist she can do a blood test for you and see if this is the problem and prescribe a progesterone cream for you, or you can go to a health food store and buy a lower dosage cream and try it out for a month and see if it works. Progesterone is the safest hormone to use, the body is good at getting rid of excess, but if you don't notice improvement after a month, then that isn't your problem so stop using it. Make sure you use the naturally derived plant progesterone as opposed to the kind they use in birth control pills, Progesterin, as that can cause a lot of side effects. But I think you will find that this relieves your symptoms a lot. After taking the calcium and using the progesterone I went from having horrible cramps for 3 days to only having one or two moderate bouts per cycle. I hope this helps you too ^_^.

Midol...and lot's of it! :) Other than that, I've heard some people say exercise like walking helps, but it's never worked for me. The only thing that really helped me was birth control pills. The hormones in the pills make cramps less severe and your period lighter and shorter.
