Are women more jealous than men? Why?

What a ridiculous idea! In fact, men are more competitive with eachother than are adult women: women value cooperation more than do men. This is borne out by findings of social science scholars. So, the REVERSE of what you propose is true.

no. Men do fight amongst themselves as well. I would know, I see them at work all the time. There was an article that came out (i'm sorry i don't have the reference) about how females expressing anger at work is seen as detrimentry and can ruin their careers whereas a man expressing anger at work is seen as powerful. This means that when 2 women argue, or disagree at work or even try to stake their territory or their position, they are labelled catfighters/jealous. Just today at a work meeting 2 guys were at it. One said, "Do this for me" and the other said, "I don't do things for you". In other words, he was saying, you are not the boss of me. Do i think one is jealous of the other? No. The other guy was trying to escape being patronized which does change the way your co-workers view you. If 2 ladies had had a similar conversation, the opinion would have been, they are jealous or cat fighting etc and they would be looked at as petty.
No. the reason why women are paid less is NOT because we are jealous of each other. We are not more jealous of each other than men are of each other. We just get nabbed at it more often than they do

Yep, I've witnessed many a fistfight between women fighting over their man. Not! Just who is more jealous again?

Your question doesn't make a lot of sense-what does earning have to do with fighting? If men earned less because of fighting, quite a few would be broke.

Both genders fight among themselves about the same. Women tend to fight and wound each other with words. Men are always fighting each other with gun slaughter and wars and grenades and knives and nukes and fistfights and such. Women earn less due to having only a hundred years of equal rights and, in general, partly because they have not socially learned how to organize as well politically as they should. They do not organize in these matters because they perceive, through centuries of social and family nurturing behaviors, a more cooperative model than the polarized model of political action grouping. Certainly, women as a GROUP are becoming increasingly organized and savvy of the ways of politics. But, the average woman on the street lingers in the model that abhors the strife of taking "sides" and reducing others to "opponents" as do men in general in their competitive model. It's not because women fight too much among themselves as to why they earn less. It is because they are oftentimes unable or hesitant to fight ENOUGH for their rights in this matter.

I fought amongst myself because I turned down that "high" paying position because the hours were going to be grueling hours and I would have been a slave to my job. So I guess I killed two birds with one stone, me being a Woman AND still earning less than that "high" paying position.

I wouldn't be jealous of any Man. What do they have, that I couldn't possibly attain based on my own merits? Don't tell me it's a penis, that would be a cop-out.

No. I think women earn less because as a society we are still not considered as important as men. We are getting there though. It is also because we sell ouselves short. We agree to less money, where men would stand up and say no. We are still growing, but I don't think it is because we fight.

In answer to your question, I had to think hard about it, because the sound of all those women soldiers rushing off to wars to make money for a lot of politicians and big businessmen was so deafening.

Which gender fights among themselves more? Your view is just a wee bit blinkered, I would say!

Cheers :-)

No. women earn less than men for alot of reason, the most prominent among these being that women and girls are not taught to reach higher and take whatever they can. while men and boys are taught to do whatever it takes

Hardly. Women earn less on average because, as a whole, we are not as willing to perform physically arduous jobs that pay much better than most; we don't work as many hours as men; and we're more likely to take parental leave.

No. And I don't think they are more jealous either. On the second thought, they may have a broader jealousy, but men's jealousy seems to run deeper....
