Well, first of all, not everyone says the N-word. I certainly don't, and nobody I know does. And if everyone says it, why are people then making such a big deal every time some famous person says it or some other racist stuff? Just because some black people use the word, it doesn't make it OK for non-blacks to do so because their histories are so different. OK, maybe the public treatment of Dog is slightly unfair because he really isn't the only one to use language like this, but when a famous person uses racist slurs it sends out the message that it's OK to do so, and I think therefore it's important for the public and the media to send out the message that they won't stand for racism.
At the same time, I mean, is anyone really surprised that he's racist?

I agree! You've got to be an idiot to look down upon a man that's helped capture so many criminals and even save some lives, and all because he said one word? Tons of kids say the N word at my school, plus it's used on tv all the time [like a little "beep" is really good sensorship, psh]
Forgive and forget, atleast in Dog's case.

I don't say the "n" word...besides I'm brown too. Dog is a dog and he's done a lot worse things. Plus I just don't like the guy...I watched the show for a long time and he's just old and can't run in his 3 inch boots.
BTW is his long hair real or are they extensions because when he was in jail in Mexico his hair was short but when he got out it was long....
The show brings lots of money into my home state so they can just keep putting him and "Bethy" out there for all I care but I don't watch him anymore. He's phony and doesn't answer emails...2 thumbs down to you Dog....

I think his son Tucker or whatever his name it is should get his @zz beat. To record a conversation like he did, he KNEW his dad would react the way he did. Since I heard it was a recorded PHONE conversation, even with all the t*rd's tattoo's he's obviously a w*mp. Wasn't even man enough to discuss face to face with him.
If my sons ever did that to me they'd be out of my life. As it is, Duane said he hasn't spoken to the jerk since it came out.
I'm so tired of this "politically correct" BS. Dog should be on the air.

I know - its totally fine for blacks to say it, and its even totally fine for blacks to refer to whites as 'crackers' 'white bread' 'honky' etc. In fact, I've never seen a black entertainer ONCE lose his contract for making a racial comment.
All that aside, what Dog said was in private, clearly not intended to hurt, intimidate, or threaten an individual. His son sold him out, otherwise, this never would have happened and we wouldn't even be having this conversation. This double standard for white entertainers, and the mock 'outrage' of a handful of greasy wheels (al sharpton - what a tool) making mountains out of mole-hills is getting really old.

Yes, I think people seem to be so willing to "throw him under the bus."
I wish everyone would lay off who are any of them to cast the first stone???
I've written to A &E to please bring the show back. I hope other people do the same.

I agree, but most people will not. Ironically, I haven't heard many black people saying much about it. It's mostly white people. Does this mean that he's more tuned to the white crowd or that whites are more sensative to it? Curious.

I agree with most of your statement. But not the part where you say everyone says the "N" word.
