Well, I never understood why until I cheated on my wife. My father passed away and two days later an ex reached me thru my space. I allowed my feelings to direct away from my dad to what made me feel good. It was an ex girlfriend from 10 years ago. For 3 months I bought into what she was telling me and what kept my mind off of my father. I tell people that I felt that I was literally in a coma. Didnt care what I was doing, what people were saying to me. Heck I even wrote my wife off. Then one day, on Saturday, I woke up for work and snapped back into reality. I woke up crying. That same day I ran into a gal that had a similar deal with her husband. We talked for hours. It was this person that helped me out. Today, my wife and I are working through what happened. Everyday is a new day torwards a better marriage. Its not going to be easy but, I have the rest of my life to hopefully make it right for my wife.

Married men cheat for all kinds of reasons, I've learned. There might be something missing in the marriage or maybe it's not what "they want it to be" kind of thing. Or he may just be a player that shouldn't be married. If if you're single and your'e in a serious relationship and you sleep with someone else, it's still cheating.

To prove to themselves they are still attractive, that they are still wanted by gals even though they are already attached. They enjoy the sparks that a new gal can bring, the excitement that comes from doing something behind their wives' back. They will be proud when they brag around their guy friends (usually cheated their wives too) and see who is the "most sought after" among them. They are men and men whether single or married, are alike!

I think the most part of them cheat because they want to see if they still have "it" but other men are just ******* and dont really care about their signifigant others feelings. People, not just men cheat.

There is no one answer that can possibly cover why any person cheats...so here are reasons...
A person may cheat if their spouse denies them sex, turns cold and bitter, chooses to nag constantly, loss of companionship. If one person is too controlling, If the relationship is over but for financial reasons cannot leave. There are so many reason that could possibly make someone cheat. None of them make it right...however I sometimes can sympathize with the person that is cheating and would never judge them....I have my own snakes in my closet I certainly would not want to open theirs.

There are many reasons a man will give when he cheats on his wife the one is usually that they wife shows them no interest at all or the sex is not good. But they will remain married to the woman because they claim its cheaper to keep her thats another favorite line. they are not in love with them anymore but still want to be at home.
best of luck

Men and women cheat because they have defects in their character: Limited moral values, limited guilt, limited ability to commit, limited control over their impulses, narcissistic tendencies. Provide that character with any opportunity and an affair happens.

because of lack of respect for their wives, and the feeling they are no longer in love, as once the honeymoon stage ends they seek to feel the same way as they did, thinking that the physical part is all there is. they cheat to escape from reality and responsibility, they cheat because the person they are cheating with is stroking their ego, and they are eating it up. they cheat to feel younger and special again like it was when they first met their spouse. they cheat from lack of belief in god and his will.

Same reason married women cheat - unhappy, lonely, bored, mistreated, someone else made them feel special, or maybe they just don't know how lucky they are, and are being plain old stupid.
