ive worked at a retail company for about 6 months, and i got offered a job in loss prevention. But before they let me change positions they have to do another background check, i have felony drug charges that are pending until i complete a probation program. if they see the pending charges will this keep me from moving within the company? and will it be better for me to just say what i have and be honest and try to explain or just wait and see if they even show up? (the background check is done by USIS)

They will see the charges. Honesty is always the best policy however it would probably be best for you to withdrawal your application until this is resolved.

They can fire you from your current job based on the background check.

I would not put a prospective felon in a loss-prevention position, but that may just be me. Yes, it will be much better if you bring up the issue rather than letting them find it.

If that is a bonded position, you may well be out of luck anyway.
