It's more an adult entertainment hub but they do have things for kids of this age. There's Star Trek Experience over at the Flamingo Hilton, The Shark Reef at the Mandalay or Drive to Red Rock where you can see some of Las Vegas natural beauty, the Bellagio Fountains which I always enjoy. It starts every 30 minutes. Circus Circus has a lot of stuff to do at their hotel for the younger guests. There are the Lions at the MGM Grand that are fun to visit. Mystère is a Cirque du Soleil show which is excellent. Go to the link and there are more and more ideas on what to do with the whole family. Have fun!

Plenty of kid friendly activities in Vegas: http://www.lasvegaskids.net
It's ridiculous to hear the typical "don't bring your kids to Las Vegas" replies out of so many. Or the replies about kids running around casinos. Firstly, it's illegal for anyone under 21 to loiter in casino areas and imposed fines are heafty thus providing a significant motivation to casino security to enforce the rules...and for the overwhelming part the do. Those replies also assume that *every* parent is irresponsible, not the case.
The published numbers speak for themselves and if one views people's actions are a vote, then Las Vegas is family popular in a couple of ways:
1. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, 10% of visitation to Las Vegas is with minors.
2. The Clark County School District is the 6th largest in the U.S., indicating that *plenty* of families (and children) live in Las Vegas and plenty more are moving in for good reason. By the way, these people frenquent casinos, some of which (Orleans, Boulder Station, etc) provide child activities centers.

The Excalibur has a great dinner show called The Tournament of Kings. It is a great family show. Lots of action and they want you to yell and scream and cheer on your king for your section. You have to eat your meal with your hands, no knife and forks. The kids will love it as you will also. A bit pricey but it does include dinner.

You will enjoy LV if you leave your children with family then when you get home take them to Disney. They will enjoy themselves more at Disney and you won't be exposing them to MANY of the LV sights that you cannot shield them from and they shouldn't be exposed to yet.

Yeah ... the Tournament of Kings is great for kids. Even adults love it. I go every year and enjoy it each time. Always take my guest and she loves it also. I think its about 50 bucks.
