His son's black girlfriend & a few of her friends tried to jump Beth & beat her up & get it on tape. She didn't fall for it and didn't use any racial slurs

His son & his mom (Dog's ex-wife) then taped him when he called Tucker about it - Dog said he was trying to find words that would hurt.

I believed his apology - hes sincere. I would feel betrayed too.
His son did that for money, and didn't give a crap that he would be ruining his Father - some kid huh?

The phone conversation should never have become public anyway, as it was a PRIVATE conversation between father & sson - his son had just got out of prison on a 20 year sentence - Dog thought he was hanging out with the wrong people - his son is on parole - if he messes up one time he goes back to prison.

Obviously he is in with the wrong crowd - his girlfriend was trying to beat up his stepmom!!!

Tucker (his son) is a little sh1t that's gonna need his Daddy one day - I hope Dog doesn't fall for it - the little sh1t needs to learn a lesson

He has made a racial slur, using what is now called the "N" word. However, it was done in a private conversation, and would not have been heard had his son not sold the tape of it. Therefore, I've asked myself the same question [for a different reason]; why would he apologize for something he said in private? There are varying opinions on that. Suffice to say, what he did was unfortunate but it wasn't done publicly, so it becomes a question of whether or not he should apologize at all. What do you think?

Dog used the "N" word several times in a private phone conversation he had with his son. Situations like these get on my nerves all of the time. If everybody's telephone conversations were aired out on television imagine the trouble we all would be in. This is the second or third time THIS YEAR that we've had to deal with this. And everytime something like this happends we get a group of people on television to discuss the issue, when no one is actually fixing the issue. No marching, striking, or outlawing the word is going to change anything. People will always do whatever it is they want to do. Period.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DUANE, TIM, LELAND AND THE WHOLE FAMILY. It is about time the Mexico thing is over. It never should of happened in the first place. Mrs. Beth Chapman ~ congratulations to you for staying so strong.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I first heard the short version and just now got to hear the long version of this phone conversation between Tucker and Mr. Chapman. I hear a Father disciplining a son (Tucker Chapman) whose girlfriend (Monique Shinnery) was making threats and stirring up problems between the family members prior to this tape recording. It is extremely obvious Mr. Chapman was correct in his assessment of the whole situation concerning his son Tucker and his girlfriend Monique. While Mr. Chapman is talking to his son ~ the very son ~ who is secretly recording this conversation is lying to his Dad on this tape about his girlfriend Monique's intentions BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT JUST HIS GIRLFRIENDS INTENTIONS ~ OBVIOUSLY!!!

Shame on A&E and Black leaders for getting involved and promoting a rebellious son.

What I don't get is how Tucker is swearing that Monique wouldn't do something like this and accusing everyone involved of lying about Monique trying to do this BUT HE IS SITTING THERE DOING EXACTLY WHAT HIS FATHER AND EVERYONE ELSE felt Monique was trying to do.

My goodness give some credibility to Mr. Chapman for calling a spade a spade.

He obviously should of cut his son out a lot sooner but as most fathers wanted to believe in his children. He just thought it was LOVE that was causing his son to not see clearly when in truth Tucker and Monique are both being troublemakers.

Tucker Chapman and Monique Shinnery need to apologize publicly for getting paid to release a private conversation and ALL the things they did prior to this conversation that was causing problems within this family.

As far as this girlfriend goes (since it is obvious she don't like her boyfriends family) she should do like all the other girlfriends who don't like their in-laws or in her case her boyfriends family ~STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

I think it's ridiculous that Dog, Micheal Richards or Imus should have had to apologize. I have never heard farrakhan apologize for calling Jewish people blue eyed devils(racist remark). I have never heard Ray Nagin apologize for saying when they rebuild New Orleans that they would make it a chocolate chip city. (racist remark) The word n****r might have been started by white people(and I don't know if that is even true) it's kept alive and in use far more by black people. I don't like to be called cracker or honky so when I see my friends, I don't say "what's up my cracker" or "honky, please" black people claim to call each other n****r in a positive way but believe me, they also say it while killing each other. The only thing Dog should apologize for is that we live in a country where blacks do and say what they please with no one taking them to task in fear of boycotts or riots.

After wards, he said that he thought he was "okay enough with black people" to say it. His son sold the tape of the phone conversation to the National Enquirer. He apologized but, seemed most upset about his son "betraying" him.

His son was seeing a black girl who the family did not approve of and his son happened to record the conversation of Dog saying " Dont let that n***** ruin or family " not only that he said it a total of six time through out the conversation.
