I would say star because it represents Martin Luther a monk from germenay. He started the whole star on top of the tree thing. he lived from 1483 to 1546 ( thats a long time lol). Well he was comming home on a snowy night and he saw an amazing sight of stars shining on top and through the evergreen tree branches. he went home to tell his family, but they didn't beleive him, so he went out in the woods and he choped down a small evergreen tree and put a candle ontop of the tree and where ornaments usualy go to show the sight that he saw. Don't ask how I know this, I did a project on the x-mas tree history. that is why i would go with the star because it is more traditional. But there is somthing else..............
Well on the day baby jesus was born legend has it that all these trees came around him with beautiful lights, but one evergreen tree had nothing. The other trees pushed it out of sight of baby jesus. One ANGEL took pity on the other trees and gathered all the STARS from one constelation and put it on the tree.
The angel was nice and put the stars on it, but out of all the things she chose stars, so there you have it my opinion on a star or angel!
hope i helped,
Teresa :)

I've done both, Since we've been married one year a star, two years an Angel, this year a star. I broke the angel in the process of moving stuff.

an exceptionally large megastar is sturdy, in simple terms cuz, for some reason very very nearly each and every angel i've got seen for wood looks kinda value effectively made and too user-friendly if it somewhat is an exceptionally exceedingly kinda doll confronted angel with large element on the gown i could choose for angel, yet there are some somewhat large stars too we've a megastar cuz it has assorted lighting fixtures, hues and sparkley stuff so it suits the tree(glam rock tree kinda)

I have used a star, a large bow, and a glass finial top which I prefer. The angel seems so old fashioned and plain.

used to be an angel but our beloved tree topper fell apart last year when we got it out of the box. in the search for a new one, we found this really cute snowman head one at kohls. it's 3 snowmen heads stacked on top of each other with feathers around the base of their hats. it's too cute!

I put a star, but my parents put an angel. I think the angel looks a little creepy with the eyes that light up (my brother likes to rewire things with LEDs).
