These gentlemen were quite "inspiring." Both of these presidents had "effective" leaderships in their custody of the United States of America. They did not scheme or do anything to "undermine" the integrity of this country.

Both arguably weakened the Presidency, which is the criterion that historians tend to judge Presidents by, and neither met the challenges faced by the country while they were in office very well. Carter had the misfortune to be ineffectual in tough economic times, though, while Clinton was lucky enough to assume office with a 'peace dividend' to spend and preside over a bubble economy. So, in spite of hid failings, he managed to retain a good deal more popularity, and win a second term.

Clinton, hands down. He was effective by working with Republicans to advance his legislative agenda.
Carter is a very nice guy and smart, too, but he just wasn't the right man for the job at that time.

I never heard anything about the Carter adminastration (I was born in 1986) but I heard he was very dumb . I think Clinton was better , he stood up for the rights of disabled people .
