I really think it is a character issue not a "class". There are rich & poor alike that yield to greed. Its kind of like saying that all of one particular ethnic group or race is worthless or theives etc This is not true and neither is the greed able to be classified for a particular class of people

I vote for the middleclass ~ they have the means to be greedy unlike the poor.
