There is never a guarantee that you can lie about anything without getting caught, particulary something that can very easily be checked, and probably will be checked. Why not tell the truth, and explain why you are still capable of doing the job?

I'm not advocating this......however.......

If you just let them assume you graduated (and they will) and not bring it up, then no harm no foul. Don't ask, don't tell.

However, if they ask, you can always just tell them you graduated from (and tell them your last high school). They will not check. Trust me.

My mom worked as an attendance officer for years at a local high school. Nobody ever called to check on if someone had graduated. Not once. Ever. In years.

IF....they do check, and you get caught, you won't get the job. However, you don't have the job now as is.

If they want to know about your past they will check with previous employers long before they will ask about school. Start building a job history.

Good luck. And....if you get this job.....then walk the straight and narrow and be an honest and hardworking, dependable person for the remainder of your life.

If you lie, you will end up being caught eventually. It is better to be straightforward. Degrees don't actually matter anywhere near as much as people think they do, but lying about it is a sure-fire way to be fired (there was a football coach at Notre Dame who was fired right after he was hired the other year when he was found to have lied about his playing experience).

If you just tell them the truth straight up, it makes no significant difference (generally) on whether or not you are hired, but if you lie, you will be fired when they find out the truth.

You probably can't. Do you have any post secondary education? A lot of places you can still take courses without a Gr. 12. Try to focus on what you DO have, not what you don't. Do you have any experience for the position that would offset the fact that you don't have the education??

dont lie. just be honest. they will appreciate the honesty more. you better be ready to give a good reason why you dont have a GED or high school diploma though. something you could say is "I am currently persuing my GED or high school diploma." they will appreciate the honesty, and be glad that you are making an effort.

People who lie and get hired eventually get found out and are fired. Why have that hanging over your head for the rest of your life?

Do not lie. You will be caught and probably dismissed even if you obtain the job.

Be honest and tell them the truth if asked. If not asked do not bring it up.

Don't as the company can find out, and you will not be hired and if you are hired and they find out you will be fired. Not worth it, just invest and get your GED.
