Energy Drink During Pregnancy?

I am drinking a Red Bull Energy Drink right now and I'm four or five weeks pregnant. Answer all of these questions below:

1. Do energy drinks have any negative side effects during pregnancy?

2. Does drinking beer have any negative side effects during pregnancy?

3. Does light smoking have any negative side effects during pregnancy?

You shouldn't be doing any of these things even if you weren't pregnant b/c your TWELVE ! Especially not if your pregnant and have already miscarried...... are you trying to ruin your life kid ?

The bible should already have told you whether or not you need to smoke and drink ! Perhaps you should reevaluate your "christian" claims.

Definitely yes to the second 2 questions, but I'll answer the energy drink part in more detail. A Red Bull contains lots of caffeine along with taurine, which some believe to be harmful. Red Bull is even banned in some countries because of that. While I don't know a ton about why taurine is so bad, the experts say to seriously limit your caffeine intake during pregnancy. Not having Red Bulls during pregnancy, or only having a small can of it per day, might be a good idea. But ask your doc for sure.

OK, let's do this the easy way. I've seen the other answers, up to this point. I'll treat your question with respect. Yes, I know, I'm a guy, but I'm WELL informed. FIRST, let's address ANY ENERGY DRINK, an brand, any label. What make's them work, in a short concise easy to understand way. ANY of them are controlled by 3 MAIN ingriedients. Caffiene, Guarana, and Ginseng. THESE ARE the 3 main ingredients. Anything else is filler. If you went to a health food store, bought it separately, you'd save thousands of dollars over the "ENERGY DRINKS", and have a much more potent combination. Enough about that. The BOTTOM LINE?? Don't DO ENERGY DRINKS if you're pregnant!!! BEER and SMOKING for a pregnant WOMAN!!! NO!!! Don't get me started. All 3!!! are ginormous No'S!!! You'll have a buzzed, amped up fetus!!! IT'S NOT A RELIGIOUS DEAL!!!! Strictly health, and human respect!!! If you're NOT pregnant, and you want to treat you're temple like a Friday night amusement park, THAT's you're business. Not mine, or anybodies elses. The baby is a time out zone. 9 months to guarantee a girl, or boy, a chance for a fair opportunity. I don't mean to come out against you. I'm not!!! Yes they do because I heard they can mess with the way your baby will develop. Drinking Beer while pregnant can/could cause birth defects on your baby it doesn't matter how far along you are. I personally don't know about the smoking one but I think I would be horrible because it could also cause some birth defects if you do it constantly.

Are you just retarded to be asking such questions...you can't smoke or drink during pregnancy...have you never heard of fetal alcohol syndrom. And no you shouldn't be drinking enery drinks as too much caffeine isn't good for a pregnant woman.
