No honest person can say that they don't regret anything in their life. I have made some huge mistakes and i wish i would have done things differently in some situations, but If I had to die soon I wouldn't regret the way i lived my life. But their would definitely be some moments I wish i could have back.

To a point i did have to do just this.
Just over 2 years ago i had Cancer, a big opperation during which time i actually 'died' for a short time and during the run up to this i did had time to think about my life.

I had a week to go after the diagnosis before i hit the operating table and a huge amount of things go through your head, situations i didn't deal with too well, certain decisions i made were definately wrong.
I came to the conclusion that you can only look on your life as a whole, to see if your existance has benefitted the people you have come into contact with and the planet you have lived on.
I have lots of friends, no enemies that i can think of, always done what i thought was the best at the time, raised two very well behaved and happy children and tried my best to be a decent human being.

Although i died, for a minute or two, the doc did his stuff, plugged me into the mains and so i lived to see another day.

I just wonder when it happens the next time around (in another 50yrs i hope) that i will be able to take stock and come to the same conclusion.

Yes, but then I'll regret a particular something from my past whether I die today or 70 years from now....it's not something that I'll ever not regret. But I did learn from my mistakes and hopefully will have nothing new to regret in the future.

if i had to die pretty soon then yes i guess i would. i would not necessarily like to live in the fast lane but i would love to be a lot less reserved than i am at the moment.

Good to see you back, Rose.
There's always something to regret but I think I've done enough of that... I certainly would be sorry that I didn't get to do many things I'd have liked to, but then...God knows our time here...

No, i don't believe in having regrets, because whatever you've done, at one moment in time you wanted to do it more than anything else in the world.
