They're kinda all over.

I've got one right outside the window here (it's pretty amazing!).

You might try the Botanical Gardens at Golden Gate Park. Also, the Japanese Tea Garden at GG Park is likely to have some there, as Japanese Maples turn red in autumn.

Another option in the South Bay is Hakone Gardens in Saratoga.

Agree with abfabmom - the Japanese Garden in Golden Gate Park has maples that turn red in the fall.

Red maple leaves are on Vine Maple. You will probably have to get up in the mountains in the fall. It needs to be getting cold to make them turn.
