I always misjudge them. I think I'm very good at reading people, and I usually am, the only time it fails is when I'm looking for a date/boyfriend. I try soooo hard to find the smart nice guys, but it never works out that way... I think of myself as at least above average intelligence, and whenever I think I've found someone who I think I could actually carry on a decent conversation with, I turn out to be wrong.
Of the last 3 boyfriends I had:
1. stupid as ****
2. stupid as **** and cheated on me
3. stupid as ****, hit me AND cheated on me.
Why am I so bad at picking guys??? Do you guys have any advice?

Pay attention to the way they treat and talk to others.
If they make fun of people and talk rude to food servers, then they are not going to be very nice.
Go slow with any new relationship, you need to make sure you know the real person before becoming attached to them.
A boyfriend should start out as a friend, if you go on looks it is easy to be fooled because you are not thinking with your head.

Stay away from guys who look "dangerous/bad-a.s.s", you may want to think he's exciting or that he will change because he loves you so much.....not gonna happen. Try to go for an average looking guy, good looking guys know they have options other than you and they will usually take advantage of that by either cheating on you or leaving you for someone else.
Guys are only as faithful as their options.
So let's recap.....the bad boys are fun and exciting but will treat you like garbage, the really hot guys have too many opportunities and will cheat on you or leave you and the average looking guy will be loyal, but usually boring. I'm not generalizing, there's exceptions they're just few and far in between......but like parking spaces the good ones are taken and the rest are handicapped.

idk, maybe you go for the bad boy type and they wind up being assholes. w/o more info on each guy I cant tell you...but look at each guy yourself - what does each have in common? are they the bad boy type? are they cocky guys? Becuase "bad boys" and cocky guys can be smart and carry on a conversation - a matter of fact they can probably be the most minipulative. just try and figure out what the pattern between all of them are and try and picka nice guy. And hopefully you had that 3rd boyfriends *** arrested for hitting you.

For picking guys, don't listen to us. We lie and say anything. Watch out behavior. That tells the truth of us.

let your heart put you in the right direction. later on in life you'll find the right person. i had trouble like this. i know it is hard. but you will find the right guy. and for one thing guys should never, never hit a girl. that guy should be arrested.

bet they resemble your dad.
I had the same problem, went to a cognitive behavioral therapist. She helped me to recognize what I was doing to sabotage my own happiness. Now, am happily engaged to a very nice guy.
