Osmosis is one kind of diffusion ... osmosis is the diffusion of water across a selectively permeable membrane.

So you could describe what happens in the fish's cells as osmosis (which is more specific) or diffusion (which is more general).

It is osmosis and diffusion.
Osmosis is when the diffusion occurs, but moves through a semi permiable membrane.
so your much better if you go with Osmosis, because it's more specific :]
