calculated and charming when he needs to be (he won over both Bush and Sarkozy) he's KGB trained, dangerous, pragmatic very capable. The end justifies the means. Putin and Bush both have a lot of baggage, but Putin was taken on in a calculated way wheras Bush's baggage comes from the fact that he is highly incapable and surrounds himself with other incompetents... So, of the two Putin wins

I think he is a president who is more like a dictator and has returned his country to something close to communist rule. I think he is a very dangerous man, and all should listen to his warnings, but especially our dear president. Putin told Mr. Bush that if he installs his "missile defense system" in Europe, which would be useless anyway, that Russia would consider it a hostile act and it could lead to WW III. This Bush may be worse than Putin. He replied to Vladimir that he needs to "chill out". This response borders on psychotic when you are dealing with a dictator armed to the teeth with nuclear warheads, nuclear armed airplanes, ships and submarines who just may have a number more than a name to identify him.
