i'm doing something for language arts and i don't know what free-lance writing is?? can u plz help me??

basically its just like writing without havnig a specific plot or plan... you just basically write from your head and heart, not from another piece of paper, if that makes sense

A free lance writer is self employed. You write pieces and then submit them to publications, rather than being employed by the publication. Lots of free lance writers submit articles to magazines, but are not on staff at the magazine.

Freelance writing means you write for all different kinds of magazines, publishers, or newspapers. You are not employed by them full time, but write a piece for them.
I write freelance for Nevada Magazine. What I do is pitch a story idea. If they like it, I research and write the article. Then submit the finished piece for publication. I don't write something every month.
