No, it usually makes me run my mouse over there "no image" area to see what level they are. Usually if they are a level 1 or have negative points, I tend not to answer the questions... Or I'll check to see if they are answering any questions or just asking. I use that to check for trolls, I'm sure my logic is flawed, but it's a quick check.

I was thinking about posting the exact same question!!! So, yes I tend to. For example, If two people post the exact same question. I would pick the one with the avatar. I am not sure completely why. Maybe it just seems more like a real person. There just seems to be a slight shrug off to a non-avatar Y/A member.
Edit:I have thought about it a little bit. I think it maybe the reason we don't look at or take non-avatars very seriously is because our eyes are attracted to color. May sound stupid but it is a guess.

I think I take them as seriously, but I'm more likely to notice the questions that are accompanied by an avatar or a picture.

I judge the seriousness in an answer by level.
I have trouble taking any level 1 user seriously with all of the trolling on here, but if you're level 2 or higher, you haven't gotten banned yet, so (hopefully) your answers must be meaningful.

I am not sure I feel different either way. . .but I do often wonder if ppl tried to make their avatar look like them! Mine looks a lot like me and I wanted that way. I do figure if they didn't take the time to create one they may not understand how to do it!

I've actually noticed that I kinda look past questions or answers that don't have avatars...I'm not sure why. I've been wondering about this, too.

honestly... no.

I never thought about it like that... but... also new members... I just think it's all a joke and made up. Plus I'm sure all those messages from new members with no pictures claiming to be lonely lesbians asking for my pictures... weren't actually lonely lesbians...
