My cousin is named John, but everyone calls him Jack. He doesn't seem like a John and I've known him since he was born. There are like, 15 Johns, Jonathan/Johnathans, and Johnnys in my grade and it's had to keep track of them all. There's a few Jacks but not as many. I'd go with Jack for that reason...plus, it sounds better than John when he's young. John sounds older, but I think Jack is in between. It's good for older people and younger people. Jack is often a nickname for John, which I do not fully understand. I like both names. But Jack is my favorite.
