Online, I see old posters that I think are cool looking and I want to draw them, but the thing that seems to be the trouble is that the hair on the people has this weird drawing technique and I can't copy it well. Can anyone tell me how I can draw the same effect? "Lithography" is the printng process, NOT the style of drawing.

The style is "Art Deco," popular in th early 20th century, and, enjoying revivals periodically.

It's called Lithography and it takes a lot of skill and talent. At one time you had to work for an artist for years to perfect the process.

With the right drawing skills, talent, scanner and software you or I and even the Adam's house cat can now almost do the same .

Which is so sad.
