Girl, I used to be just like that at your age, and if I knew then what I know now, I would have been more confident in my own skin. I wish I'd known:
1. Dress for your shape- don't waste your time trying to wear every trend! Wear things that look good on your body. .
2. Try on lots of stuff and see what makes you look and feel good. 95% of the stuff you try won't work, but if you only buy the 5% that does then you'll always feel comfortable in your clothes.
3. Always wear one interesting thing. If you love to wear jeans, that's cool, just top it with a colorful jacket, unique shoes or a fun scarf.
4. Find the colors that look best on you! If the color doesn't look amazing, then don't even pick it up. I found this article:
http://blogs.smarter.com/fashion/2007/08/02/whats-your-best-color-part-2/, but there are lots on the internet.
5. Get some vintage. Go to a thrift store once in awhile, and you'll find cool, high-quality stuff that only you will have.
6. Tailor your stuff. Ugh! Don't wear stuff that's too long or big--it's really cheap to get stuff hemmed and taken in. If you do that, you'll feel super comfortable in all your stuff.
7. Try on stuff that scares you. If you think something is cute, but you're afraid that it's too crazy, try it on anyway. Maybe you can pull it off.
8. Remember, people with great style take changes and only wear stuff that flatters them. If you feel uncomfortable, you'll look awful! Confidence is the most attractive thing ever.

if you want to look like everyone else, try and notice what types of things they weaar and how they put things together. when you go shopping, take a friend with you and hit all the coolest stores. if you are worried you'll look weird shopping at good stores, you can always shop online/make a wishlist, email it to a friend and ask their opinions.
try on anything you like, and ask your friend if they look good on you, or have your friend recommend something. but don't copy exactly what the other kids are wearing. of course shy people can wear great clothes!
use your own judgment as to what you will buy. if you're modest, don't buy low-cut things, and if you'd like a little looseness, don't buy extremely tight-fitting things.
good stores for you CAN BE forever 21, wet seal, hollister, abercrombie, american eagle, old navy, or women's gap.
remember, people will like you for who you are, so try not to become a totally different person just because you have new clothes. when you wear clothes, add your own personal touches. a little makeup, like a hint of eyeliner and a touch of lip gloss won't hurt either. hope this helps!!

hey i love tshirt and jeans and wear them when i can but i understand, if you are a jeans and tshirt person try the new short sleeve sweaters that are out i love them i got some at the GAP and Old Navy, also sweater dresses with leggings, jean or other skirts with some cute tshirts are nice. layering put a long tank under a tshirt and add a cute jacket. i love black pants too with cute sweaters. Cords are nice for the fall and winter time. good luck. but dont worry if you wear jeans and tshirts everyday a lot of adults do its comfy just find cute tshirts that are fitted and have graphics and nice jeans.

i know, i used to be the exact same way as you. jeans and a tee every day. you need to branch out. you will feel so much better about yourself once you do. and you will look so much better too! ask your friends who are stylish, my best-friend is the one who got me through, and now i'm almost more stylish than her!!! or if your not comfortable doing that, go to stores and ask what would look good on you. i recommend forever21, because the clothes are really stylish and they have simple clothes also that you can just pair with accesorries to look good. even if you are wearing just a tee shirt, ACCESSORIES ARE KEY.
