homecoming is on saturday, and i keep having trouble zipping my dress. i CAN get it zipped, but it's very very VERY tight. i don't have time to get a new one or get it altered. it's a jessica mcclintock, and it's 100% polyester. is there ANYWAY to get it to fit better?
it's mostly my boobs that are too big for it. it fits fine everywhere else. helppppp

Take it to a seamstress and have the darts let out. Would wearing a tight bra help?
Good luck

Yea, try taping your boobs down but don't be too obvious as I'm sure you don't want to look like you are holding your breath all night.
You should take some time tomorrow morning and try to find a dry cleaners that has an alteration person. Usually if you get it in by 9am it should be ready by 5pm or even sometime early on Saturday. Since you only need minor alterations done, it shouldn't be a problem.
You don't know anyone who knows hoe to sew or anything? Call around and see what you come up with.
Good Luck!

Okay so it is Saturday, so you should have tried it on way before now but too late. So now I guess you can try a sports bra(they kinda flatten boobs out). But if you can't wear a sports bra b/c of the straps you can use those strapless bra I hear they help contain some of that!
Hope it works out for you!

Try it without a bra.
Also, drink TONS of water to flush out your system, and NO carbonated beverages between now and the weekend -- if you're bloated at all (and who isn't?) this will make an enormous difference.
Finally, buy a shawl that you can wear and a couple of large safety pins to hold the dress together in case you need to unzip in order to breathe.

Wear a really tight bra. OR, if you know how to sew, ylu could alter the back so it pertially ties up the back, instead of zipping all the way up.

Have you tried wearing some "spanx" its almost like a girdle, and it tightens you up. Go to the mall and hit up a department store or lingerie store (ask the sales associate for help, they usually know what to do). Bring your dress and try on the spanx underneath your dress so you can see if it works.
I wear one on occassion and it really does help me squeeze into my pants that don't quite fit, and they don't push your fat into any weird places...it just makes everything tighter.

Just let 'em hang out.. lol jk!
I would just try and not eat much for the next few days and stay away from salt so that you can lose some water weight and hopefully it will fit a little better.

Go jogging every day between now and saturday.....you'll lose about 5 lbs which should get you into the dress easier.
