can you tell me how do to this problem?

A square table has a top that has an area of 11 square feet. To the nearest hunderdth, what length of edging is needed to go around all edges of the table?

just to let you know, it has to do with eastamating square roots.thanks

Do you know how to find the square root of 11? I can only do it on the calculator. It's 3.3167. So that means the table is 3.3167 feet long and 3.3167 feet wide...it has 4 sides that are 3.3167 feet long. You need enough edging to cover 4 * 3.3167 feet or 13.27 linear feet of edging.
