Today, after an eye appt. I called my daughter who said, "I'm not showered yet....I'll be there." So, I went and sat down on a bench inside of our downtown mall and waited.....and waited and a half hour went by and I waited..about an hour later she shows up and I am holding a sign that says:::::
ADOPT ME! lol lmao

My mom left me at an orthodontist appt one time when I was 11. I waited 3 hours then walked about 4 miles home. She was mentally ill though, and this was not a weird deal for her. I wish I'd thought of the "adopt me" sign! that's good ms e. You crack me up sometimes, in the best way. peace

Only after hospital appointments. But that's a catch 22. If I'm late getting in because the doc's running late I usually get out late. But if the doc's on time and It's a shorter appointment then I wait. If it's warm, I go outside and sit on a bench. If it's cold I wait inside and watch for my ride and consider it just another day no one can predict the results of.

any longer and twenty minutes and I get fed up and right the rest of the day off (almost) and watch the people going by some in a hurry some not some really stressed looking and some so placid they may be sleep walking. I try and decide where they are giong and where have they been and where they stay, what goes on in their life....... Then when I get home I write this all down and use some if the ideas for short fictional stories.

It wasn't an appointment but I was being released from hospital after surgery and the person who was supposed to pick me up, decided they didn't feel like it and since I had no one else available the doctor had to keep me for another night so I could arrange something else!! I would never left someone hanging like that!! It was rude!!

For someone to be LATE picking someone up, there would have had to have been an actual pick up time!

If I had actually thought anyone WOULD have adopted you, I might never have come to take you out to lunch and shopping!

I showed up at an intervention 3 minutes late at a Dennys.
But God prevailed and he agreed to go to detox today.
