Blood types A and B are only inherited if dominant, either heterozygous or homozygous.
E.x:
A A
____________
A / A A A A = 100% Homozygous Dominant
____________
A / AA AA
A A
____________
A / AA AA = 50% Homo Dominant, 50% Hetero
____________
i / A i Ai
A i
____________
A / Ai Ai = 100% Heterozygous Dominant
____________
i / A i Ai
And it is the same for Bloo type B.
In oder to have blood type O, both parents must be recessize homozygous ii. Plus, type O can give blood to anyone, but only receive blood from another type O.

Blood type O is more ressesive to A and B who share dominace. I know it has something to do with the receptor protein on the blood cell.

blood types a and b are so called because they contain a or b protiens. o is void of both and is resessive which means that even if there is someone with o in your ansestors it will probably taken over by either a or b or both.
