hi kaz,it very much sounds like the baby is going to be here before the 14th. the sweep has obviously done something, with you having a show today, i know you say you are very active, but its a matter of being more active, you need to empty your kitchen cupboards, scrub them, moving your body backwards and forwards while scrubbing, then scrub the kitchen floor, (not saying your house is dirty lol) then have a nap, then have sex, then get your partner to bring you prunes in bed or something similar, anything to make you go toilet, fresh pineapple is great, only thing is i ate that much pineapple it made my lips swell, lol, but hey you're on your way and gonna be a mum in less than a week,congratulations:-) further to your question, i was induced with my first baby and the pain felt the same as it did with my other 3 children,as they saying goes,no pain,no gain, your little baby will be worth it, good luck hun:-)

Maybe if u have had a show could be the start. everyone is different I was induced with my two sons both times and my first son I had the pesseries then they started me on a machine to make me have contractions, will be honest it was great all happened so quickly and he was born within three hrs. But the 2nd was a lot harder and longer. So all depends on the individual , but good luck x

You could go into labour any time, but being induced isn't painful, so don't worry!
The pessaries are inserted into your vagina onto the cervix, which may be a little uncomfortable, but not painful.
and hey usually start to work straight away, although sometimes you may need to have another inserted a few hours later if things haven't got started!
Good luck with the labour, birth and especially with the parenting!

hi, i'm merely a father who's spouse had that executed approximately six hours beforehand of the beginning up of authentic labour. i think of moving around is in all probability the final element. In a feeling, no longer being medically qualified , The membrane sweep" you reported is designed to start labour so i think of "technically " you're already having an "induction" good good fortune and God bless...the 2d time around usually is going speedier.. Boy? or woman? or do no longer you comprehend yet?

Your baby will come.
I had a sweep when I was 5 days late and had a show - it took me another 5 days to go into labour!
Don't fret, baby will be here soon and nothing will rush him along! Hopefully you will go before you need induced.

I don't think you will end up being induced, baby is about ready to come out. And dont worriy about size/dates, i had my son 13 days over and he was a dainty 8lb.
Best of luck

Have sex tonight. That is what my Dr. told me to do after he swept my membranes. I went into labor the next day. If you feel like you may be getting your period cramps and lower back discomfort then you are having contractions.

You're going to be in active labor before the 14th, you're moving right along.
Stimulate your nipples and try to poop, and walk. All those things got me through my two day marathon labor.
