Europeans mature at an earlier age than Americans. Yet the mature Americans in this country don't want young people to enjoy life, thinking them irresponsible. The drinking age was changed from eighteen back to twenty one. A bigger horror is they see nothing wrong sending young Americans off to die in war!

No I don't think so. In Germany the age you can get beer and wine is 16. Once you're 18 you can buy liquor. I'm sure there are other cases too.

I think in Europe alcohol is more a part of main stream culture and as such kids there don't drink to rebel. They have a more mature view of alcohol.

i think that is right because when your 18 your done with high school and if you plan on not going to college you would get a job so you can get a house, a car, etc.

For those who desire the culture in Europe for what it offers their people; remember they are a community unto themselves and you are just visiting unless you fall into one of their hidden traps, like any culture, they have them too.
