if your daughter want to marry a househusband?

Consider that she is mature in taking decisions, well settled in her career and is capable of supporting the household without any help from her househusband.

Would you agree straightaway or agree after some reluctance? Would you say no and disapprove? And how would you feel about it?

Considering that she is well off in her job and can support the family without the help of husband

My oldest daughter is only 17...but when and or if she does reach a point in her life that she would want to marry a man that would be a househusband..I. would support her.....She would be an adult and can make her own decisions....

It would worry me if he jumped into the role of househusband (as it would worry me if any woman was also too excited about being a stay-at-home). But if he ended up being a house husband, then who cares... it is 2007. You said yourself she is mature in making decisions and capable of supporting the house, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about. It sounds like you have no reason to doubt any decisions she makes. If it was my daughter and she was happy, then I'd approve.

Well, I think that the daughter sounds mature enough to make her own decisions. And as long as he is treating her right, and she is happy I say butt out! She will always be your child, but she is not a child.

If she's an adult, there's nothing for you to agree to. Love her and support her, and let her make the decision for herself.

If she is happy, why mess it up? As long as that is what they oth want and agree to it should be fine. Most men long to have a woman who just wants to stay home it is just that in this relationship it is reversed.

If the guy is a good man who loves her and treats her well, I guess that would be cool. I'm just old fashioned, though, I don't think I could deal with it myself!
