is buying the short ram intake better than the stock one i have now?

ive heard a lot of negatives about the short ram i was wondering if buying it was really worth it. also if i buy it what would be the ups and downs it woulld have on my car
the car is a 94 accord

Short ram intakes bring more air into your car’s engine, which creates more power during combustion. Short ram intakes will help with throttle response and gives your car more power, while at the same time adding a pleasing induction sound to your engine under acceleration. Cold air intakes are usually placed in the fender well area, which brings in a cooler charged air from beneath the car (outside of the engine bay), which is denser and therefore creates more power. The piping is a lot longer than a short ram which means the power gains are not seen until the mid to higher RPM band. A short ram intake is located inside the engine bay and creates power with better response times than a cold air, however the air is not as dense, which means that it doesn’t make as much power in the upper RPM region and makes less power overall.

i know this cause i race.
short ram is ok and will add some power on the take off, but its not realy cold air intake even the stock brings in air from the outside, so it would be short ram but not cold intake. lol
it will just suck you cars engine air in wich is hot! and you wont see performance at higher speeds.
i personaly would route the tubing to the outside by the tire, thats where i had it on my neon. it will bring in cold air and you def. feel a noitce at high accerleration,
good luck with that but short ram wouldnt be so great in the end. if you want speed you want cold air going into your motor

Not so, Short under hood ram tubes draw in very hot under-hood temperature air. There's much more oxygen in cold outside air. Complete combustion is directly correlated to the amount of oxygen present at the time of combustion. Use your present cold air box and drop in a K&N filter.

Answer this. Why do all race cars have cold air intakes? Nobody uses hot air intakes for racing purposes.

If hot air is better why do all cars today have cold air boxes?
