HELP! I'm working on homework and I'm struggling a bit, so does anybody know any of the following answers to these questions for act 3 for the Crucible. I greatly appreciate it! thanks!

1. What compromise is offered to John Proctor? Does he accept it?

2. What are inidications that Reverend Hale's affiliation with the court is weakening? Why do you think hes might be reluctant to speak out?

3. Explain in detail how John's accusations of Abigal backfired.

is this when there in the court?? if it is...
1. if they find out his wife is pregnant within the next month, then she will live for a year to give birth then they will hang her. If she isnt they will hang her right away. He accepts.

2. i dont remember which one he is

3.because he told about his affair with Abagail to save his wife, it made him look bad when his wife was asked if it was true. She, trying to protect him, lied because she didnt know she was supposed to tell the truth so his plan didnt work.

You need to read the play. Did you read it? If so, you should know the answer to #1, because that's just information, nothing tricky. The other two require some analysis, but first you have to read the play.

You can also read a synopsis -- lazy way, yeah, but pretty common. Cliff's Notes and Monarch Notes were popular when I was in school, but you might be able to get the answers you need online.

But really, you should read the play.

I'm reading the Crucible for school, too, but we're only on Act 1, so i probably wouldn't be much help.

read the book write out the answers to these questions as best you can. the teacher will help you from there
