For a baby, I'd feed once a week.
When you say 'finally broke down and gave him live' does that mean that you were trying to feed him prekilled before? Some snakes will refuse prekilled food or frozen/thawed meals. Now if you're worried about your snake being harmed by live food, you can always stun the mouse (where you hit him against a hard surface or thump his head causing him to become pretty much paralyzed, but not dead). If you've been trying to feed him prekilled and he has only accepted live, that is your problem with getting him to eat--he will only eat live.
Do not feed him more than every 5 days, it isn't good for his health to be overfed (can shorten their lifespan and can cause many health problems--obesity). At a minimum every 5 days and a maximum of 7-10 days, feed him 1. I find it easier to keep up with a weekly feeding (7 days). Just because he hasn't eaten in a couple months, doesn't mean to keep trying to feed him a few meals in the same week. Ball pythons are able to go awhile without food and remain perfectly healthy. It is also normal for them to skip meals from time to time, especially common in the winter months.

I had a baby ball python, he was probably about a year or 2 old. When I got him, I never had a problem with him eating....but I fed him Every 3 days. If i fed him on monday, he got fed again thursday and so on and so forth. That is what I was instructed for his feeding schedule. And 2 months is not to long....wait 3 days from last feeding and then try to get him to eat again. And also ALWAYS make sure he has fresh water.....

that's totally sturdy that he's eating on his own. regularly finicky ball pythons in simple terms choose for area from their under pressure proprietors to consume conveniently. attempt lower back in 3-5 days by using fact it replaced right into a small meal, and supply him 2 or 3 mice this time - or an stronger rodent if he will taken it.

he should eat 1 or 2 a week. If you want him to grow. if not just 1 a week but feed in equal incraments its ok if your a week of even a month late feeding because snakes can go 16 to 21 months without eating. Hope this helps. (best answer.. please)

Every 5-7 days is fine for now. Don't try to push his digestive system too fast, as he may regurgitate. Take it slow and easy and he'll be fine. Don't give up trying thawed frozen--they are safer than live.

you should wait at least a couple of days. snakes can go up to a year in the wild without eating, so 2 months isn't that long.
