METHOD
An ethnographic design, combining community and household naturalistic observations and interviews of 60 women with standardized testing of their neonates using the NBAS, was employed. With the assistance of local midwives, the field workers identified and recruited pregnant women who used marijuana until a sample of 30 was obtained. After each participant agreed to participate and informed consent was obtained, she was then matched (again, with the assistance of local midwives) with a gravid woman who did not use marijuana, according to age, parity, and SES. The study was fully explained to both the marijuana users and the companion group and none refused to participate. During the course of the study, three of the mothers designated as nonusers were discovered to be tea drinkers and were transferred to the users category, resulting in a sample of 33 users and 27 nonusers. Further losses to the sample include two spontaneous abortions in the users category and one stillbirt

RESULTS
The course of the pregnancies were similar in each group and the two groups of neonates were not significantly different according to physical examination data, including birth weight and length and gestational age. 23 Because Apgar scores were not recorded by hospital nurses at standard time intervals, they were less reliable. Nevertheless, there were no significant differences in the Apgar scores between the two groups.
t tests were used to compare the performance of neonates of users (n = 24) and nonusers (n = 20 on the NBAS cluster scores and on the supplementary items on the third day of life. Table 1 shows that there were no significant differences on the seven clusters. There also were no differences on the seven supplementary items. To examine the degree to which heavy marijuana use may have an effect on neurobehavioral outcome, we then compared the performance of the heavily exposed and nonexposed neonates on the NBAS on day 3, by examining group differences on t

I don't have kids or want any, but I would do it. Marijuana calms the nerves and relaxes muscles, thus relieving nausea.

I hope no one told you that was a good remedy... When I was 6mos pregnant, I got into the car with some friends, one of them started to smoke and immediately my baby started to move around as though he was ready to be born and didn't stop until I was no longer breathing in the smoke. All I did was step out of the car and he stopped.
The way I see it is this: "If my baby reacted in that way to me just inhaling smoke from someone else, I can only imagine how the baby feels if you're the one doing the smoking.
Think about what could possibly happen to the baby if you smoke marijuana... You won't be happy with yourself if your baby ends up with some form of birth defect. "You'll forever blame yourself".
Hope you make the right choice

Not what I would reccomend. Why take a chance. There are so many things that are out there why put something in your body that is not good for the baby and take the chance to cause problems. Healthy babies are a blessing not a guarentee.
Think of morning sickness as a badge of honor.

One, it's not safe for the unborn baby and two, when that baby is born and they run tests on it and find that it has drugs in it's system, you may not get to take your little miracle home!! He or she could be sent to a foster home.
Call your doctor and let them know about your morning sickness and they can prescribe you some anti-nausia meds. I know this because I still have some of them left in my medicine cabinet!! ALMOST every woman that gets pregnant has morning sickness... so just relax and join the all of us others as you experience the joys of pregnancy!

No, there are too many other natural and effective options out there. Ginger, chamomile, lots of protein and complex carbs, cool fruit and veggie juices, dry sprouted grain toast, cool teas, minty compresses for your head etc. This too shall pass, just remember that.
Do some research and don't take drugs! Rx or otherwise. They all will hurt your baby and you!

My ex neighbour did it because she said it got rid of the morning sickness but now her daughter has extremely bad asthma and needs a nebuliser 5 times a dayand she is almost 2. So if you are thinking of doing this then i would not suggest it unless you want a very sick child.

There are safe medications that you can get from your OB/GYN for morning sickness. Illegal drugs are NOT safe for a growing baby! Morning sickness doesn't normally last for more than the first couple of months, and even if it does, so what? it means that you have a healthy pregnancy.
